Happy Friday! I hope you had an amazing week!
Ready for the weekend? Me too.
This week was a busy one, I attendant a blogger event with AT&T, went to a Rockies game with my husband’s company, hosted my husband’s co-worker from out of town and volunteered at the Food Bank.
This weekend isn’t my opportunity for R&R either!
It is going to be a quick one. We leave for Nebraska in just a few short hours. We are headed to my husbands long-time friend’s wedding in West Point, NE. It looks like a quaint little place, I am excited to visit! Of course we are flying standby, so we’re crossing our fingers that we get on the flight! Wish us luck!
Funny: NAP NEEDED
Ok, but for real. I wish I was a good napper. I am so jealous of people that are. All those times I rebelled against naps, and now-a-days all I want to do is to lay my head down mid-day and take a brief snooze. I would vote for any president who implemented siestas in the USA.
Fitness: FitBit
FitBit Charge HR has been my addiction since attending the fitness event with AT&T. I love being able to track my steps and my heart rate. It really pushes me, since I don’t get up and move a lot when I am not working. When I am off of work, I sit on the computer too much – hopefully this FitBit is going to change that!
Food: Detour SMART
Detour SMART bars. The Coconut Almond is so tasty! It is non-GMO (yay!) and gluten free (a must these days). It is just one of the fabulous flavors of Detour bars. Detour SMART = All things delicious!
Technology: BRAVEN
Braven HD Wireless Speaker is perfect for all our Summer adventures. It is just a little guy – but it is built sturdy, strong and waterproof! It is great for beach days, camping, hiking and boating! I love having music on the go. More than that, it also charges my phone and has a built in microphone! Pretty advanced for a wireless speaker!
Local: PEACE
While on a walk with my dog, I noticed this awesome piece of stump art. I just love where I live. It is artsy, earthy, and a little hippie! 
I am always seeing stuff like this!
Beauty: Calming Oil
Ever heard of Calming Essential Oil? I have been slowing tip-toeing into the essential oil scene. I am not 100% sure I believe in them, but I am staying positive. This week I have been using the calming rolling essential oil from Sass N Frass. It is a blend that is made to calm and soothe the central nervous system. (Great for the over active, over worked, stressed people – anyone?)
This blend is said to help manage anger, irritability, compulsive behavior and help with sleeplessness. It’s only $12.99 so it’s worth a shot! Right?
RECIPE: Mexican Corn Dip
Honestly, I am probably on Damn Delicious’ website once a week. She has the best recipes! And her photos are drool-worthy. When I came across this recipe for Mexican Corn Dip, I thought it was so genius! Have you ever had Mexican corn fresh at the fair or a festival? It is amazing… and to think she made it into a dip! Spot on!
