As you might know, a few years ago I became a Rover dog sitter. I enjoyed watching a variety of dogs, but needed to stop dog sitting due to switching jobs and moving houses! But now that we are a little more settled, I decided to refresh my dog sitting page and test it out again.
I changed my dog sitting status to “Active” and by the end of the weekend I had FIVE requests. I was fully booked through September. It happened so fast, but I couldn’t be more thrilled!
So far, I have had the pleasure of watching: Felix, Layla, Penny and Anny.
Having the extra pups around is keeping me on my toes and busy! I have been soaking up every minute of it. Dogs bring me so much happiness and joy… and I love having the extra babies to spoil! Also it’s great for Daisy to have the guests (no only child syndrome for her)! She clicks with some, and others she tolerates. She is the best, well tempered, sweetest girl. I am proud of the pup we raised.
Yes. I am kind of that crazy dog mom… you know the one that acts like dogs are the same as children? Yah, I get it, they aren’t the same, gottcha… ohhhhh but the similarities!
Beyond dog sitting… I got invited to a dinner event with “I and love and you” – a Boulder pet food company. (Whole-food nutritious, fresh, and premium ingredients.)
I got to bring my husband (not my dog) to the event, hosted in a neat place downtown (Converge Denver). We had a lovely night getting to know the people behind ILY Pets, a couple bloggers, and the very famous Loki the Wolfdog!
Loki is as beautiful as the Instagram photos.
Together, we dined on various dishes created to represent the same food that is in the “I and Love and You” pet food! (No, we did not eat pet food – but technically we did eat the same ingredients!) The catering was done by Dish Gourmet (also in Boulder) – and was absolutely superb! (My husband said the best buffalo he’s ever tasted – that’s huge!) We’ll be visiting them, no doubt!
We had a fun evening learning about I and Love and You. I came home with a gift bag chock-full of amazing kibble, canned and 100% dehydrated raw options for Daisy. She went crazy when I walked in the door with my swag bag!
Her favorite so far are the Good Golly Gullet Stix (free range cattle bully sticks!).
Here’s Daisy showing off her swag:
P.S. – Can you tell dogs are my thing?
P.S.S. – I was encouraged by my fellow bloggers last night, so I decided to start my own IG for Daisy, follow DaisyDogLove on Instagram for our dog adventures!
