This week was a fun one! I (finally) had a week off from work (I just worked 3 weeks straight with 3 days off!) And of course I couldn’t just sit around on my week off… no way! So I packed it with wine, dog parks and TEDx speeches!
Denver Bloggers Painting and Drinking Black Box Wines!
(Tuesday) I spent the evening with some fabulous bloggers around the Denver area. Emily, of Colorado Moms hosted this event sponsored by Black Box Wines. About 20 of us lady bloggers wined, dined and painted for hours! The event was in Cherry Creek, a place I rarely frequent because of the distance, but it was well worth the fun night! I met a few local bloggers and chatted with the wonderful ladies of Black Box Wines. 
Guess what my favorite part was? Trying the Red Elegance (a red blend) for the first time – before it even hit stores! I learned that Colorado state is the largest purchaser of Black Box Wines of all the states. Personally, I loved this statistic, especially because I know that I am a large contributor to it! (We love Black Box Wines… been a fan of “losing the bottle” for years!)
After the wine tasting and appetizer mingling, we got down to painting on our canvases! This was the first time I had done one of these group canvas and cocktail events, and it was a blast! My painting turned out pretty good… for a beginner!

Beneful Play Date with Daisy
(Wednesday) Having a girls night the night before, I needed to give some attention to my furbaby too! I found out about the Beneful Play Date on Beneful’s Facebook page and marked it in my calendar right away!
This fun event is a part of the series of Play Dates being hosted around the USA! The dates left for the summer are: Los Angeles (8/26), Austin (8/31) and San Antonio (9/1). The Play Date Event is designed to inspire more play across the USA, they are free to the public! Such fun!
During the Play Date with my dog, we took advantage of the Spoon Race Obstacle Course, Toss and Fetch Agility Hoops, Squeaky Toy Pit with hidden treats and the Healthy Smiles Photo Booth. What an active time we had!

TEDx Boulder Beta Sponsored by Applied Trust
(Thursday) I have been to TEDx Boulder before, but this was the first TEDx Boulder Beta event I’d been to! What is the difference you ask?
Well, the TEDx event is the main production, where the TEDx Beta is kind of like a dress rehearsal! A very, very shorted dress rehearsal where the speakers are introduced, they give a mini talk about their topic and the attendees get to meet them and socialize while enjoying food and drinks!
The sponsor, Applied Trust (an engineering IT consulting firm) were fabulous enough to provide delicious Mexican food, wine and beer. Oh, yeah… there was also a photo booth, which is ALWAYS entertaining!
